Overview

Verde Salvia Bakery, nestled in the heart of Genova at Via Paolo Emilio Bensa, 36R, beautifully blends the classic charm of an Italian coffee shop with a modern, inviting atmosphere. This spot is a haven for those seeking an authentic espresso experience paired with a thoughtfully curated selection of bakery delights.

The menu stands out with its artisanal offerings like the velvety cappuccino, which pairs perfectly with their signature Cornetti Al Pistacchio. The pistachio croissants deliver a delicate balance of nutty richness and flaky texture, a true highlight for pastry lovers. Beyond sweets, their Pizza Focaccia offers a savory counterpoint—a freshly baked, airy focaccia that embraces traditional Italian simplicity with a gourmet touch.

The bright, spacious interior invites patrons to linger and savor each moment. Customers have praised the clean, cozy environment and the friendly service that feels both professional and warm. Free WiFi enhances the experience, making it a popular spot not only for a quick breakfast but also for remote working or casual meetups.

The variety on offer is impressive. Brioches Alla Crema Con Amarene and Brioches Alla Crema Con Frutta showcase a careful attention to classic Italian flavors, while options like Muffin Al Cioccolato Con Frutti bring a contemporary flair. Fresh orange juice and an assortment of aperitivos further complement the menu, making Verde Salvia an ideal location to recharge throughout the day.

Thanks to its central location and welcoming atmosphere, Verde Salvia Bakery appeals to a broad audience—from local residents and tourists staying nearby to anyone seeking an authentic Italian breakfast or a relaxed coffee break. While some visitors note a liveliness that reflects the vibrant street outside, the overall experience combines quality, comfort, and a sense of place that embodies Genova’s lively culinary scene.

Good brioche, coffe and foccacia. Place looks pretyy new and fancy. Only I can complain that it was a bit too loud for me - music and noise from the Street.

Spacious and light bakery with huge variety of sweets and focaccia. Also you can find fresh orange juice, aperitivos and of course, espresso :) Perfect spot for recharging any time during the day.

Excellent little breakfast place. Their sandwiches, pizzas and croissants are very fresh and the staff were very friendly, and speaks English. The fresh juice was also delicious, and the service was very quick. Very authentic Italian feeling!

Very good cappuccino, great cornetto and nice staff. There could be more filling but it is at least a lovely tasty crème. Lots of interesting looking artisan pastries on display. Clean bathroom and a decent seating area. Recommended though priced a little higher than average.

A perfect bakery stop — fresh, flavourful, and full of charm We popped in for a quick bite and ended up staying longer just to enjoy everything — the food, the atmosphere, and the lovely service. I had a vegetarian calzone (so warm and perfectly baked), followed by a tiramisu and a cannoli — both sweet, creamy, and beautifully made. The fresh orange juice was just what I needed: vibrant, zesty, and actually fresh. My partner had a chicken and vegetable salad, and a slice of pizza with pesto sauce — simple, light, and full of flavour. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful, and everything was served with care. You can tell this place is run with heart. Highly recommend for a casual lunch or a sweet treat — we’ll definitely be back when in Genova!
